Le premier bivouac de Bao 🏕️🐾

Bao's first bivouac 🏕️🐾

Some first times are unforgettable... and this one will definitely be one of them.

For his very first bivouac, Bao headed to Savoie, with one objective: to reach the magnificent Lac des Cerces and spend the night there. 🏔️

With his red harness on and leash attached, he set off for about 4 km of walking to the lake.

Throughout the journey, Bao discovered the mountains with his usual curiosity. New smells, unknown landscapes, and lots to observe! During breaks, his water bottle allowed us to easily offer him water before continuing our way.

After a few kilometers of adventure, we finally arrived at the edge of Lac des Cerces.

Once there, it was time to set up: pitching the tent and preparing our little camp for the night.

For Bao, the exploration could continue. Thanks to his leash, he could enjoy a little freedom around us while remaining attached and under our supervision.

After all that effort, dinner time was particularly anticipated! His small red collapsible bowl, slipped into our bag during the hike, quickly found its place in the middle of the camp.

Then the sun began to disappear behind the mountains, and it was time for our little adventurer to experience another great first: sleeping in a tent. 🏕️

And after a day so rich in discoveries, Bao didn't need much time to understand the principle of bivouac: cuddling up with us in the tent and enjoying a good night's rest.

The next morning, after a night in the mountains, we quietly dismantled our camp before heading back the way we came.

Another 4 km walk to return to our starting point and finish this very first adventure.

Tired little paws, many new discoveries, and above all, wonderful memories for us.

This first bivouac had a special flavor: it was exactly the kind of moment we imagined when Bao came into our lives.

And something tells us it was only the first of a long series... 🐾🏔️
